Every September, South End Art Hop takes over Burlington for a weekend. This year, we're going all out. Friday, September 11, 5 to 10pm, the Upstate Elevator parking lot turns into a block party: live music, food trucks, art, and a beer garden.
The Lineup
Clean Fill opens at 5:30pm. The Burlington-based band will bring their own local flavor to warm up the crowd.
Dobbs' Dead takes the stage at 7pm. Few bands channel the Grateful Dead the way they do, drawing on the Jerry Garcia Band catalog for deep cuts and danceable grooves. New to the Dead scene or a longtime follower, this set works either way.
What's Happening Around It
Music is the centerpiece, but there's plenty to fill the rest of the lot:
- Tin Bucks BBQ and Smash & Splash are handling the food.
- Zero Gravity Beer Garden is pouring beer, NA beer, and cocktails, alongside our own sampling bar for the new kanna and kava beverages.
- A community Paint by Number mural is taking shape over the weekend. Add a stroke if you're passing through.
- Local artist Amber Harvey is painting live on-site, start to finish.
- Queen City Printers is marking 75 years in business with guided tours and free prints.

Our parking lot closes to traffic at 4:30pm. Walk, bike, or get dropped off. Upstate Elevator Dispensary stays open until 9pm that night if you want to shop while you're here.
Free and open to all ages. The beer garden and dispensary are 21 and up.

FAQs
Can I bring my kid?
Yes, children are allowed, just not in the Dispensary or in the Beer Garden.
Can I bring my dog?
Well-behaved and leashed dogs are welcome.
Is this a free event?
If you're planning to listen to music or take part in the paint by numbers mural, then yes! If you would like to grab food or check out the beer garden that will cost you. But it will be worth it!
Where can I park?
Our parking lot closes to traffic at 4:30pm. We recommend getting dropped off, walking from a public parking area (there is a paid one by Hula right behind us) or biking. We have several bike racks.
